Twinstake Joins the jupSOL Validator Set
Twinstake has entered into an agreement relating to the jupSOL Pool under which Twinstake's Solana validator joins the jupSOL validator set.
Twinstake institutional clients that independently choose to hold jupSOL, a liquid staking token on Solana, can have SOL attributable to their jupSOL position delegated to Twinstake's validator, subject to the jupSOL Pool's designation and routing process.
DeFi still runs on validators
A liquid staking token can move between wallets and applications, but the SOL behind it is still delegated to validators that keep the network secure and process its transactions. For an institution, the question with any liquid staking token is who runs those validators, and whether that operator has been through the same due diligence as any other provider.
Joining the jupSOL validator set means that, where a Twinstake client independently chooses jupSOL, the answer can be an operator it already works with.
How it works
Where an institutional client independently chooses to hold jupSOL and designates Twinstake, SOL attributable to its jupSOL position can be delegated to Twinstake’s validator, subject to the jupSOL Pool’s designation and routing process. Holders can transfer jupSOL while SOL in the pool is delegated in accordance with the pool's protocol mechanics.
Twinstake's role is limited to operating the validator and related technical services. Twinstake does not issue, distribute, recommend or arrange the acquisition of jupSOL, and does not take custody or control of jupSOL or the underlying SOL. Whether to acquire or hold jupSOL is each client's independent decision.
Why Twinstake
Twinstake’s validator infrastructure is non-custodial: it never takes custody of the SOL delegated to it. Twinstake has undergone a SOC 2 Type II examination covering specified controls over a defined review period.
"As institutions look at DeFi, the infrastructure underneath still has to meet their standards. Joining the jupSOL validator set means clients who independently choose jupSOL can have the related SOL delegated to an operator they already work with."
- Harriet Browning, VP Commercial, Twinstake
“Institutional capital doesn’t arrive onchain all at once. It shows up through providers those teams already trust, one piece of infrastructure at a time. Twinstake joining the jupSOL validator set is one of those pieces.”
- Kash Dhanda, COO, Jupiter
What comes next
As more institutions look at what they can do on Solana, Twinstake's focus stays the same: running the validator infrastructure underneath to the standard their teams expect.
